Recent Work

This summer, I returned to the basics. I intimately got to know the blue Bic pen, where I learned it’s great at producing static textures out of a fever dream, conveying the natural variation of skin and hair. Pen, conte crayon, and watercolor meld to produce natural bone. My next focus is on integrating material textures into the digital. How can I play with scanning to produce print media? All works are still-lives, excluding “JOICEANN,” foreseeing she’d have to sit for ages.

I’m always looking to get pen to paper—let’s chat!
